Once again, we are pleased to welcome the award-winning Music of the Navy, made available by the Chief of the Navy’s General Staff, for a special music meeting on Sunday August 11, 2019.
After its distinction at the European Tattoo Festival in Basel, Switzerland, Navy Music will be with us for a musical journey with great tunes giving “Date at Sixties”. Well-known and beloved songs from the decade will be heard in the backyard of the Firka Fortress.
The event is co-organized by the Region of Crete – Regional Unit of Chania, the Municipality of Chania and the Maritime Museum of Crete with FREE admission while the backyard of “Firkas” is provided by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Chania.
We are waiting and hoping that once again the public of Chania will attend the event to follow us on a wonderful and unexpected musical journey under the moon of August with the melodies of the Music of the Navy.
