The Maritime Museum of Crete on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 18:30 at Neorio Moro, Permanent Exhibition of Ancient and Traditional Shipbuilding will present the book by distinguished journalist Margarita Pournara entitled “Adrias, They Were All Heroes, the biography of the legendary destroyer”. This is an excellent book, about the heroic action of the destroyer “Adrias” during World War II. A detailed account is given of her striking a mine, and how she escaped without her bow to the “Liberty” (Alexandria of Egypt) covering 730 nautical miles. Contains anecdotal photographs of great historical importance. The author and the head of the Historical Archives of Crete dr. Philology Konstantinos Fournarakis speaked about the book.
