With great pleasure and honour, we are delighted to announce that our proposal to host the next conference in 2026 was unanimously accepted. As a result, the 31st Forum of the Association will take place in Chania from 22 to 25 October 2026, at our Museum’s venue, Neorio MORO – Permanent Exhibition of Ancient and Traditional Shipbuilding.
The Association of Mediterranean Maritime Museums (AMMM) is a non-profit organisation founded in Dubrovnik in 1998, with the primary aim of safeguarding and preserving the Maritime History and Cultural Heritage of the Mediterranean. On an annual basis, the Association organises a conference that includes presentations by its registered members, as well as distinguished external contributions of significant historical and cultural interest. The official language of the Forum is English.
Since 2024, within the framework of our Museum’s broader strategy of international outreach, we have been proud to join and actively participate in the Association of Mediterranean Maritime Museums (AMMM). Our Museum has contributed with presentations at the Association’s annual forums, first in Sesimbra, Portugal (2024), and subsequently in the Catalonian cities of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and L’Escala, Spain (2025).
